Our program will pair children with an adult for one-on-one tutoring sessions designed to build reading confidence, comprehension, and a love of books. This program will provide a supportive environment where younger children practice reading aloud, receive encouragement, and develop positive associations with literature. If your child struggles in a specific area, we will work on strengthening that area. If they need additional help with homework we will focus on that. Our mission is to help the children gain confidence that they need.
Goals for our Tutoring Program:
- Boost Confidence: Reading one-on-one with a patient listener helps children feel more secure about their reading skills.
- Improve Skills: Children get authentic practice in reading aloud, which can lead to better comprehension and fluency.
- Develop a love of reading: By making reading a positive and enjoyable experience, the program aims to inspire a lifelong interest in books and learning.
We will meet once a week on Tuesdays for 25 minutes; contact [email protected] to reserve a timeslot.
